Michael Mann on Richard Muller, in an observation with heady implications:
We should check back with him in 2016 when, by the iron laws of linear extrapolation, his science will be the equivalent of the consensus of the 2030s.
"Obviously Muller is a scientific genius -- his understanding has advanced by an entire decade in just under a year. "

ReplyDeleteBugger waiting until 2016.
Sometime in 2014 (around 26 May?) Muller will achieve parity with the scientific consensus, and the next day his prescience will emerge. Anyone who is able to sort the gold from the dross in his commentary after that date might well save themselves a lot of hard work, and make for themselves a wad of money in the process.

Breaking News.
ReplyDeleteDr Richard Muller has just been awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of the Bleedin' Obvious.
I do feel sorry for Muller. He started as the Darling of the contrainian side, with the study funded by the Kochs and the Methodology approved by Watts, but as soon as he started getting the same results as every other consensus temperature study he started getting the same abuse as the main stream scientists.
ReplyDeleteThose scientists don't seem too impressed with him either, now that his latest report says the warming is almost certainly man made they are congratulating him on getting to where climatology was in the 80s.
Still he appears to be a genuine sceptic who follows the evidence to its most logical conclusion so he deserves respect for that.
